Cabot Lake Trailhead provides access to the Mt. Jefferson Wilderness and several trails as well as lakes, including Cabot Lake and Carl Lake. Provides access to: Cabot Lake Trail Jefferson Lake Trail #4001 Shirley Lake Trail #4003 Trails accessed via this trailhead leave the Deschutes National Forest across Jefferson Creek and enter the Warm Springs Indian Reservation . Recreationists will enter Mt. Jefferson Wilderness shortly after leaving the trailhead. Wilderness Permits are required. See "Permit Info" below for more details.
